I'm happy to see that our nation and the media continues to keep issues with bullying in a bright spotlight.
Here's sending out MY support for Jonah Mowry and his family as they all work through the dynamics of dealing with a child who has been bullied to the point of suicide and handle the challenges the come with a young teen and his sexual orientation. Of course, not to mentioning the incredible craziness that come with the massive media coverage from Jonah's brave and accidentally highly-public declaration of his pain, his need for help, and his inner strength/inner hope for relief.

His youtube viral video is certainly moving and I encourage you to ride this wave of support for Anti-Bullying. Fortunately, his story has a happy ending. He seems to be like most other teens his age who had a difficult moment and is now stabilizing his life and moving forward.
My questions is what about the uncounted others who are not as strong as Jonah? The unknown ones who aren't discovered to have been in pain until it's too late and they're gone? So, please - for him, and for those who we don't even know about yet... take it upon yourself to find something (it could be large or small) but do SOMETHING/ANYTHING to help STOP BULLYING for ANY REASON.

The holiday season when school is not in session is where it is widely thought that the pressure valve eases off from bullies - this is not true! Cyberbullying still happens, time alone in the home where the opportunity to spiral deeper into depression is easy for children who are left alone while parents are away at work. Be involved in your child's life, be inquisitive, be nosey....and, BE AN INVOLVED PARENT.
