So, I have a stepson who is a sophomore in high school and he makes pretty good grades. All in all, he's a good kid...But, today the wife and I totally flipped our noggins about some work he turned into his teacher to make up for a poor grade he received earlier this year.
Reviewing the event and given the intensity of our discussion, it made me think about what kind of parenting skills do I have and are my ways making me a bullying parent? What kind of irony is this?! A blogger about bullying being the same kind of person the blog speaks-out against.
So, I set out to find information about bullying parents and the effect of being a bully-parent on your child. Here's my first link to an article posted on a very cool site for parents.

Here's another good blogger who has some interesting details about bullying parents.

After just a few short minutes searching, it's clear that this is not an unusual occurrence. And, it appears that I should use this information and techniques to do some continuing-ed on how to avoid being a bullying parent.
